Welcome

Dear Students,

This is probably as complicated as it gets: learning to become a follower & then making the comments. You've doen that.

  7. Great....so should we start with a topic? How about...How can CT helps us improving our lives?

  8. sir i think its a good way to interact with the students and find out what they have to say regarding the course in particular.

  9. I would assume, its a better idea we let Sir Faheem start a discussion. Say we email him the question, and perhaps Sir could use a somewhat open ended question on what we all could comment and. This would help Sir manage the discussions, (1 discussion, rather than plenty over a question). Besides, since there already 39 users, it would be helpful if we all monitor the comments. (Some ones question may answer another persons 'to-be-question').

  10. I do not see the FAQ's sir. But good to be on the blog!

  11. Can we write posts too? Or can we only comment on the ones sir has written?

  12. Ok guys initially what I'll do is: post the questions (5 at a time everyday) that you submitted to me as a homework assignment along with my answers to these questions, & then ask for specific comments, or further questions you might have based on my answers to the original questions.

Within the next 2 weeks or earlier, once we have a hang of this, students can start posting their own specific questions & comments. Please note though that in order to initiate a thread/comment/topic, you will need to sign up as a 'member' for which I have also sent invitations. Most of you are currently 'followers', & therefore can only comment. You will also need a gmail account to be a member of the blog.

Please note that this blog is only about questions, comments, etc. on the discipline of CT, & NOT about other administrative matters (assignment drop box, course clarifications, etc.). Your comments & topics should be concerned with furthering yours and one anothers understanding of CT.

    Regards,

    Faheem

  15. Muniba:
There's a bunch of stuff. We need to discuss first what your specific area of your interest might be. Then I can lend you the books, or navigate you to appropriate websites, and or also email stuff. Lets talk again in class or email to me what might interest you. Thanks

    Sanah:
Thanks. Its coming soon. I've jumped your questions above the que because they are extremely important, relevant and obviously are also very close to your heart, mind & soul. But they are not easy to answer (comprehensively); so bear with me for a bit. In the interim I commend you for not only thinking along those lines, but also being brave and confident enough to put these up.

    Regards,

    Faheem

  16. Sir, what is the impact of Emotional intelligience on critical thinking ? how does expressions affect and influence our judgement.

    ReplyDelete
  17. What do you mean by 'reaching to the conclusion', what is that point of time when we are satisfied with our own based conclusion??

    ReplyDelete
  18. I think its okay to have biases in our sub-conscious, because 'forcibly not having biases' is also a biased act. We are also learning when we are making false conclusions and judgement about ourselves and others, this is also indicator of 'self-awareness'...and that why we make judgements all the time.

  19. and Last question, why do we say CT is never negative, beause there are a few conspiracy makers, not majority of the peopl and they rule the rest of the people. CT is negative here. When the defense analysts make stragaties in war against enemies, it is negative. When Bank robber rob a bank, it is neagative.

    Waiting for your responses. :)
